Ground answers in your content

Add your documentation and content so the assistant answers from your material instead of guessing, and check that it’s working.

Out of the box, the assistant can act on your API. Add knowledge and it can also answer questions from your documentation, grounded in your own content.

Why add knowledge

Knowledge lets the assistant answer “how do I…” and “what is…” questions using your material, with the sources behind each answer, instead of relying on general knowledge.

Steps

  1. Add your sourcesIn the dashboard’s Knowledge area, add documentation — by upload, file, or a connected source.
  2. Let it indexSyncanix processes your content into searchable knowledge. Larger sources take a little longer.
  3. Test a few questionsAsk the assistant questions you expect your content to answer, and check the sources it cites.
  4. Refine coverageAdd anything missing, and use overrides to pin, edit, or exclude content where needed.
