Billing & plans
How Syncanix charges: per-workspace plans, end-user metering, subscriptions, bringing your own model key, and the limits that keep usage predictable.
Syncanix bills per workspace. Each workspace has its own plan, its own usage allowance, and its own subscription — so you can keep production and staging, or separate teams, cleanly apart.
How billing works
Your plan sets a monthly allowance and the features available to the workspace. Usage is metered by the number of people who actually talk to your assistant, not by seats or servers.
- One subscription per workspace. Switch workspaces from the dashboard to manage each plan separately.
- Usage is metered in monthly active end users (MAEU) — the distinct people who chat with your assistant each month.
- You choose how model access is billed: managed by Syncanix, or billed directly to your own provider key (BYOK).
Managed and BYOK
Every plan runs the same product. The difference is who pays the language-model provider for the tokens your assistant generates.
- Managed
- Syncanix provides model access and includes it in your bill, with a small markup over provider cost. Nothing else to set up.
- BYOK (bring your own key)
- You add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key. Model usage is billed by your provider at their price, with no Syncanix markup.
